Dandelion for Cellulite

Dandelion
The leaves and roots of this ubiquitous, yellow-flowered plant that is considered the bane of many lawns and gardeners are actually respected for their medicinal properties with many health practitioners. With plenty of vitamins, minerals, and beneficial phytochemicals, dandelion leaves and flowers are particularly useful in cellulite therapy because of their diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties.11

  • Suggested dosage: Steep leaves and flowers in hot water to make a tea to drink or apply topically to the skin.11
  • Precautions: The milky extract in the leaves may cause skin irritation and experts advise those with bile duct or gall bladder obstructions should avoid using dandelion.11
